Along with the increasing interest of farmers in the PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh partnership program, after previously being successful with okra commodities in 5 districts, namely Jember, Situbondo, Bondowoso, Probolinggo and Banyuwangi, this time PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh reopened a partnership program with a new commodity, edamame.
The partnership program is one of the work programs of PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh by cooperating with farmers in cultivating commodities cultivated by the company where the company will act as an off taker by buying all farmers’ crops at prices according to the contract so that it is expected to help improve the welfare of farmers.
Edamame was chosen because it is one of the frozen vegetables that is popularly consumed by the Japanese people and has been exported for 30 years by PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh so that it has a guaranteed market and a more favorable price for farmers.
