First sale of goat/sheep cooperation with KSU Mitratani family
PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh held the first sale of goats from its collaboration with Koperasi Serba Usaha (KSU) Keluarga Mitratani on Sunday (16/06) at the hatchery warehouse in Bondowoso.
A total of 49 goats were handed over directly by the Director of PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh, Mr. Tumbas Ginting together with the Chairman of KSU Keluarga Mitratani, Mr. Yudi Hariyanto to the buyers.
The goat fattening program is a form of business development of PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh together with KSU Keluarga Mitratani as an employee cooperative, which in its business activities utilizes dried edamame skin as the main source of goat feed.
“We want to build PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh into an integrated agribusiness company by utilizing all available resources so that it can increase company profits that can prosper employees.” Mr. Tumbas Ginting said in his speech.
He also said that in this cooperative relationship with the employee cooperative, the company contributes in providing cages and goat feed from edamame dry skin waste, while the cooperative in procuring animals, buying feed, caring for, managing, and selling the goats.
“By using dried edamame skin as goat feed, it is proven that it can increase the weight of 1 goat to reach 5-7 kg per month”. He added
The Chairman of KSU Keluarga Mitratani, Mr. Yudi Hariyanto, expressed his gratitude for the support and opportunity to work with PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh.
“With this collaboration, the benefits obtained can prosper Mitratani employees who are members of the employee cooperative. In the future, we will continue to develop this livestock cultivation so that we can get abundant income for all members.” He added.
SEVP Business Support Mr. Sihur Antoni also added that the development of the livestock business was the company’s desire from the beginning by utilizing waste, namely dried edamame skins.
“It all started with the company’s desire to provide added value to the waste from processing, namely the company’s dried edamame skin, where in the future the waste can be developed into a type of feed for livestock and also create its own farm (integrated farming) in collaboration with employee cooperatives,” he said.
By looking at the results of cooperation and opportunities that exist, in the future there will be a development of a larger cage so that it can accommodate even more goats, there is even the possibility to add cattle.
