First Harvest of Edamame with PTPN 1 Directors

PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh held the first edamame harvest with the President Director of PT Perkebunan Nusantara I (PTPN I) on July 11, 2024 at Sadengan, Rowo Tengah, Sumber Baru.

The activity which was also attended by the Director of Finance and Risk Management of PTPN I, Head of the Corporate Secretariat Division of PTPN I, Head of the Portfolio and Corporate Strategy Division of PTPN I, Region Head of PTPN I Regional 5, and SEVP Operation of PTPN I Regional 4 was accompanied directly by the Director and SEVP of PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh.

The activity which became a series of working visits from PTPN I directors to their subsidiaries in the East Java Province region lasted for 2 days where PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh became one of the destinations to see activities in the field and processes at the factory.

The event began with the first harvest of edamame on the land followed by a discussion with all managers and assistant managers of PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh around the harvesting area.

Director of PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh, Mr. Tumbas Ginting expressed his gratitude for the visit of the board of directors of PTPN I as the majority shareholder considering that as a subsidiary of Supporting Co engaged in frozen vegetable agro-industry, PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh continues to experience increased market demand.

“Mitratani is actually an Indonesian agricultural solution, where the vegetable crops that we cultivate have high economic value, so if we can increase partnerships, especially with farmers, it can provide added value for farmers and stakeholders.” He said.

Mr. Teddy Yunirman Danas as President Director of PTPN I supports Mitratani’s hope to grow considering that PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh is a new business from PTPN I engaged in the horticultural sector.

“I thank you because the first harvest of edamame is something that is encouraging for us, there are still many opportunities for innovation and creativity that can be applied to get higher productivity and profitability so that it can benefit employees, the community, and shareholders. Hopefully Mitratani can continue to grow healthily and sustainably.” He said.

He also instructed all PTPN group regions present to be able to provide support to PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh in developing its business, especially in expanding land and increasing production capacity. With this first edamame harvest activity, it shows that PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh’s business can continue to be sustainable.

The same thing was also conveyed by Mr. Doni P. Gandamihardja as Director of Finance and Risk Management of PT Perkebunan Nusantara I who congratulated the first harvest that had been carried out by PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh. He hopes that PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh’s business can grow and be blessed.

“The potential of edamame harvested today is extraordinary, both in terms of quality and market demand. I hope Mitratani can expand its production land and even expand outside the region.” He said.
